Wood Core Concept.
Taking FRT to the next level. Nature gave us the perfect core material, good wood. There is no better core material for achieving the best flex performance in a board. Our proprietary "Columbia Gold" wood is adaptable, flexible, and extremely stable. Different wood cores have been developed for all the different intended uses and characteristics in all our boards. We scrutinize every type of wood used, even to the point of where the wood comes out of the tree. Our highest standards are set so that we only accept what is called "clear" wood. This means it is void of knots. We then process each core for size, width, considering the power, flex, stiffness, and rebound characteristics for the board it will go into. We have built two different cores for the various styles of boards we offer.

Slingshot Board Tech

Radio Active POP:
Made in our own wood shop with 100% Columbian Gold. It has the highest compression response ever used in a kiteboard. It has half the glue weight and absorbs less resin weight. The entire core offers great power, optimum stability, smooth flex and great pop.

Bio Sensor:
Uses a more subtle vertical lamination and machining process to give the core more feel, stability, and forgiveness in all conditions.

At Slingshot we like making sustainable green products whenever pos- sible. And that's the trick. It has to make sense. Green is only cool when you advance the performance of the product because of it. Not the other way around. Lowest carbon foot print from forest to factory. Resin X. Lowest VOC resin available in the market. New science in resin technology , that Resin X is the greenest resin made today. The fac- tory electricity is produced by locally produced wind power. No airborne solvents are used in the manufacturing process. No plastic top sheet material. SINGLESHOT FUSION TECH RAIL:
We have moved the same technology found in skateboard wheels, to the rail of our boards.
